World Thinking Day 2017 Doodle Card "GROW"

Hello! World Thinking Day is fast approaching!  A simple activity that I like to do is to send cards.  Here is a card that I had made from my World Thinking Day 2017 theme "GROW" doodle. It is fun to send WTD cards to Penpals, other Guiding Units, and friends!

This is a quick card printed on computer paper that was then folded and coloured with pencil crayons.  The inside of the card is blank for you to add a special note or to have your Guiding Unit sign it. For a more fancy version the image could be attached to cardstock and decorated as you like. Also, this could be made into a postcard by attaching the image to a more sturdy paper such as cereal box or other thin cardboard.

The back view of the card with a spot for you to sign.

See the post about the 2015 Doodle Cards for an idea of how to embellish the card.

Girl Guides and Scout Doodles

Hello there! Long time since I did a post on here!  tsk tsk tsk! It has been a roller coaster ride this past year with hubby changing jobs and moving twice. I am currently without a Guiding Unit for 2017 but hopefully we will be moving to a new town soon so that I can get back into Guiding! {Maybe I'll be moving to your town!} However, I have still been sending my files all over the world to many Owl & Toadstool fans ...and I've been doing a few doodles to keep me in the Guiding spirit!

Colouring is a fun and relaxing activity!  Not only do I like to doodle but I also enjoy colouring them too.  This is a calm and quiet activity for the Girl Guides {and Guiders} to do at home, at camp, or to fill in time at weekly meetings.

10 Therapeutic Benefits of Coloring Books for Adults...
"Coloring is not just an activity for keeping kids occupied; we only associate it with children.  In reality, coloring books and coloring pages for adults are also extremely therapeutic and can help generate wellness, quietness, mindfulness and the exact same benefits which meditation imparts on the brain."

If you are interested in obtaining the pdf files of my doodles then you may email me {leeannfraser at hotmail dot com}.  Please be specific when requesting a file.  The file name is in "parenthesis" in the caption under each doodle.

South Africa Promise & Law mini books

Hello...Happy Spring!  It is officially Spring here in this part of the world... but it doesn't feel like it.  March 21st, the second day of Spring, was a snow day for the school kids...no school because of the snow and ice pellets.   Hopefully, the weather will warm up and the snow will go...but we've got at least another month or so for that to happen in this part of Canada. Anyhoo, enough about the weather.

I thought I would share with you another set of mini promise books. This time they are for...
South Africa

{Shout out to Melinda L  and the 1st Bergvliet Brownie Pack in Cape Town, South Africa for inspiring this set of mini books !}

South Africa Girl Guides Brownie Promise & Law, Guide Promise, and Teddies Promise mini books

These mini books may be helpful to the South Africa Girl Guides and also to Girl Guides in Canada and other WAGGGS members around the world.  {In my last post, I wrote about how my Guides were learning about the promise and laws from other WAGGGS member countries}.

A huge THANKS goes out to GGC {Girl Guides of Canada} for providing awesome clip art to be used by GGC Guiders. I have been using their clip art to enhance learning resources for the GGC program for several years.  Thank You!  {The teddy bear and South Africa flag are not from GGC clip art}
Happy Easter!
I hope those of you who celebrate Easter have a good long weekend!
